| Three views of the inflation unit showing redundant valves
(white), pressure sensors (gold), filling port (red cap) and the On-Off handle (white.) Features:
Redundant valves, if one fails to open, the other will.
Clear polycarbonate cap allowing the user to see three LEDs that announce the
operation of the unit.
Redundant sensors for bottle pressure, filling pressure and ambient water
pressure.
Rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery for long life and ease of use.
An on-off lever, which allows the user to close the air supply from the
cylinder to preserve its charge while in storage. The lever in the "off"
position makes the unit un-wearable so there will be no chance of accidentally using the
unit with the air source closed.
The air cylinder comes equipped with its own valve, which will retain a full
3,000 psi charge even when removed from the unit so an extra cylinder may be used as a
ready-to-use spare.
The in-tank storage valve may be easily removed for air travel, where an
un-sealed cylinder is required.
There is sufficient charge in the cylinder to cause at least 20-pounds of
positive flotation at 120 feet. In contrast a 33g CO2 cylinder , one of the largest
cylinders used in life vests, will fill slowly at 120 feet and only provide 6 pounds
positive buoyancy (10 pounds at 80 feet.)
